Village Pizza and Lounge is one of my favorite places to hang out.

This pizza restaurant and bar in Orleans, Vermont really has become the neighborhood “spot”, and that is for a number of reasons…

1. Their pizza is good. There are a number of pizza places in the Kingdom, and each one has its own taste. The crust at village pizza is a little thicker than that of other nearby restaurants, which I like. They don’t skimp on the toppings, and there are a lot of pizza options to choose from.

2. The Lounge is comfortable. This is a great place to grab a drink after work, and a lot of locals do. With Monday Man Cans ($2 16 oz. select beer cans), Tuesday Miller Light all day special, and Wednesday free pool and $3 Bud and Bud light there is always something to take advantage of. And because of the hours (they close by 10), no one is ever out of control – making the lounge a relaxing place to hang out.

3. It is a great place to take the family. The dining room has plenty of seating. Food is always ready fast. The game room has a few arcade games and an air hockey table so the kids stay busy while waiting for dinner. And the prices are super affordable, which is important when you are feeding a group.

4. One of the few places in the area where football and hockey games are on, and with three TVs in the lounge area, sometime you can catch multiple games.

My favorite thing about this place is the atmosphere. The bartenders are fun! The staff is all sweet. And you know exactly what you are getting.

I will say, I wish there were healthier menu options and that there were food specials. But it is a pizza place, and the standard fare is what’s on the menu.

Live Music Nights at the Lounge.

Sometimes, there is live music from local bands. This is always fun (We like Shut the Door). Because the location isn’t set up as a venue, the gigs are very intimate. The bands always interact with the audience, and it is like getting a private show. These nights are always a blast, with people dancing in between the tables, singing along, and sometimes even singing with the band.

Village Pizza and Lounge restaurant in Orleans, Vermont is a place that should be on your go to list. It is great for takeout.

If you’re having an event, need to feed a lot of people, or have a lot of teens at your house – the sheet pizza is the way to go.

This is a order at counter style restaurant, with fountain soda, and a utensil bar. Like a traditional pizza house, there is a wait staff, but it isn’t table side service. This doesn’t detract from the restaurant, but I like to let people know what to expect before they get somewhere.

It is a very family friendly restaurant, but if you’re just looking for a place to get out, have a drink, and relax without the kids– look no further. The bartenders will take care of you, and you don’t get the drama and craziness that comes with most night clubs and bars.

Enjoy, and tell Tracy NEK Eats sent you.
