The Orange Rind is a fantastic spot to spend a summer afternoon, or a cold winter day. This East Burke Restaurant serves up pub food, and though the main restaurant has limited seating, they have one of the best outdoor dining spots in all of the Northeast Kingdom. Small, intimate dining areas with firepits and televisions (YES, outside), provide privacy for conversations with friends and family, or make a great spot for date night. Or, if you’re looking for more noise and the appeal of the bar scene, take a seat at the backyard gazebo bar. This spot is open to the air during the summer, while offering cover from rain or beating sun. And the fun doesn’t stop during the winter, when sides are added to the bar to keep it cozy all season. This makes it a popular spot for snowmobilers who can pull in, order, and not even take off their gear.
