Don’t Miss Cantina Tuesday; Wednesday Burger Nights and Trivia; or Friday Oysters and Tastings

original-green-mountain-special-parker-pie-restaurant-west-glover-vtParker Pie is a local hot-spot. Located near Lake Parker, this restaurant in West Glover, Vermont is a pleasant surprise. Summer time provides an outdoor space for the kids to safely play while mom and dad enjoy a cold micro-brew on tap. Live music, trivia night, Taco Tuesday, a specialty burger night featuring local beef, and fresh shucked oysters on Friday all housed in an old country store – this is a local restaurant you’re bound to enjoy.

Tucked away among the back roads, Parker Pie and the Lake Parker Country Store are the heart of West Glover Village. Situated at a junction leading to Lake Parker, it has become the watering hole for locals and visitors alike.

Though a pizzeria, this West Glover restaurant features high quality, locally sourced ingredients that make their pizzas and salads a step above.

And the food isn’t the only draw. Parker Pie has been a beer lovers paradise since the beginning – featuring craft beers and highlighting local Vermont breweries, there is always something special on tap at ‘the Pie’.

There is this welcoming feeling that greets you when you walk in the door. Maybe it comes from the well worn floorboards that have seen hundreds of thousands of feet for 200+ years, from the walls that once enclosed local mailboxes, or from the beams of the back bar that was once a barn filled with horses and probably a milk cow or two. Or maybe, it comes from the yard that has heard the laughter from generations of children and families.

Or maybe it is all of those things paired with the friendly attitudes of the patrons gathering with friends, the voices of children having in the yard, the chatter of diners busy at their tables inside and out…

Whatever the cause, that welcoming, comforting feeling makes everyone feel like a “local” and that is truely the charm of this NEK Restaurant.
