Located right downtown, this Island Pond restaurant has a menu you can really sink your teeth into. K.T. Ray’s on the Pond features unique flavors, such as blueberry and Vermont maple, throughout the menu while spicing it up through creative ingredient pairings and a bit of southern influence.
Whether you’re in the mood for lunch, dinner, or a weekend breakfast you’re sure to find something to love at K.T. Rays. Burgers, sandwiches, seafood, pasta, or meat and potato entrees abound. Each one has a culinary twist to brighten the dish, ensuring that the diner will not soon forget this meal.
Examples of some of these unforgettable dishes are the Blueberry Lane Burger – featuring blueberry jam made in house, a thick slice of melted brie cheese, and baby spinach; a thick slice of prime rib laid over a mountain of potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables (Friday Night Special); a house made buffalo dip featured as an app and so good, they made it a wrap.
The food may steal the show, but the location itself makes this restaurant in Island Pond a destination
The cozy dining room offers plenty of seating, as does a large bar. Quieter dining, away from the bar, is also available. But in the warmer months, the outdoor space is the place to be with plenty of seating, views of the water, and of the Lakeside Park Pavilion where Friday Night Live takes place throughout the summer.
The building where K.T. Ray’s is located has been a restaurant for many years, but the transformation over the last two years, since ownership changed hands, has been complete. Fresh paint, renovations, expansion of the restaurant into outdoor space, and an evolving menu have brought new life to the building and new flavors to the town.
As you are traveling around Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, do not forget to take a trip out to Island Pond. The location is beautiful, the town is reminiscent of bygone days with a downtown district full of shops and businesses, and with K.T. Ray’s on the Pond in the heart of it all – swing in for an enjoyable dinner, a leisurely lunch, or just a relaxing cocktail while enjoying the view of the town and the water.
